Samsung recently launched the world’s first quad camera smartphone Galaxy A9 in Malaysia and now it is expected that the company will soon launch the handset in India.
The consumer electronics giant has not yet revealed any launch date for the smartphone in India, but the smartphone is listed on the official India website which means that the device will launch in India soon.
It is also expected that the company might price the device at under Rs 40,000. The company is expected to launch the smartphone in competition to the recently launched OnePlus 6T.
For those unaware, the Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with four rear camera setup. Galaxy A9 comes with 24MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture along with a 5MP sensor for depth effect with an aperture of f/2.2. There is an 8MP ultra-wide angle sensor offering up to 120-degree viewing angle along with a 10MP telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture and supports up to 2X optical zoom. In total, the Samsung Galaxy A9 comes with 24MP+10MP+8MP+5MP or 47MP quad-lens rear camera. The front of the smartphone houses a 24MP camera for capturing selfies.
The smartphone runs Android 8.0 Oreo operating system and features a 6.3-inch Super AMOLED Infinity display with full HD+ resolution. The device is powered by a 2.2GHz oct-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor paired with 6GB of RAM. The device offers 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 512GB by adding a microSD card.
The Samsung Galaxy A9 is backed by a 3,800 mah battery with fast charging support. On the connectivity front it offers 4G, VoLTE, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and USB Type C.
